A village just south of the River Don, 17 miles north west of Aberdeen. Perhaps most famous for the oldest and finest church buildings in Scotland. The Norman chancel arch are dated to around 1140. Ther is also a Pictish symbol stone known as the Monymusk Stone.
The village was almost entirely rebuilt in 1840.
