The most easterly of the fishing villages of the east neuk of Fife, this charming village with its stone enclosed harbour is rightly popular as a holiday destination.
The parish church dates back to the 12th century and a there is a 16th century tolbooth. Crail's wide tree lined Marketgate has many small and charming 17th and 18th century houses.
The castle walk above the harbour gives views on a clear day as far away as St. Abbs Head in the far east of Berwickshire....
