Humbie

Scotland > Central Scotland > East Lothian > Humbie

The village in past times was noted for its medicinal waters, taken for the cure of skin disorders. It was also the home of the "childrens village", founded by Mrs Sirling Boyd in 1886, later a holiday centre for needy children.
Today the quiet village of Humbie nestles at the foot of the Lammermuir Hills.
