In the heart of Sutherland, this small village is famous for its fishing, being located at the western end of Loch Naver.

Ancient remains include hut circles, a Celtic Cross and a broch, Dun Creagach. Another broch is situated on the Strath Naver road and yet another, Dun Dornadilla in Strath More 10 miles north west.
