Haddington

Scotland > Central Scotland > East Lothian > Haddington

Located on the A6093, 17 miles east of Edinburgh, the small town is full of historical interest. Over 120 buildings in the town are listed as worthy of historical note. Among them is the fine Townhouse designed by Adam, who was responsible for many of the fine houses on the main street. The 14th century parish church of St. Mary is worthy of note.
John Knox (1505-1572) the presbyterian reformer, was born here.
