GolspieScotland > Highland Counties > Sutherland > Golspie An attractive sandy beach is just one of the things that now attract holiday makers to Golspie. In the past, fishing was the mainstay of the village. There is a memorial to Clan Sutherland on the bridge. Near to the village is Beinn a' Bhragie (1,256 feet) where there is a statue of the first Duke of Sutherland. It is amazing that it is still there being so associated with the Highland Clearances of the 18th and 19th centuries.
