The village of Glenfarg at the southern end of the glen on the main road between Fife and Perthshire, has over the years gained a reputation as a pleasant holiday destination.
At the northern end of the glen above the River Earn that Sir Walter Scott describes the setting of Perth in his novel "The Fair Maid Of Perth".
