Alexandria

Scotland > West of Scotland > Dunbartonshire > Alexandria

Together with Bonhill and Renton, Alexandria used to be a major bleaching and manufacturing town on the River Leven just south of Balloch at the southern end of Loch Lomond in Dunbartonshire. Some of the old warehouses and factories have found new uses as retail discount stores.

yesscotland.com says:
Alexandria is very close to the new Loch Lomond National Park and a shopping trip to Alexandria should form part of a day out to the Loch or the hills.
