Gardenstown

Scotland > East of Scotland > Banffshire > Gardenstown

Founded in 1720, the village sits - literally on the edge of the sea. With the rock rising up behind, the buildings seem to nestle into it. Founded on religious principles by the Plymouth Brethern sect, its mainstay in the past was fishing, the harbour proclaims the towns roots with the lettering - "God is Love".
