Miles of sandy beaches backed by grassy links stretch out from peaceful Dornoch. The links are home to one of the oldest golf courses in the world, first played in 1616.
Dornoch has broad streets flanked by buildings of local blonde sandstone. Its Cathedral was founded in 1224. Located on the A949, 22 miles south east of Lairg.
