Clydebank

Scotland > West of Scotland > Dunbartonshire > Clydebank

Some of the worlds finest ships were built at Clydebank. In the heyday of the ocean liners, Clydebank ships were luxurious, reliable and fast. The liners, Queen Mary, Queen Elizabeth I and II, the royal yacht Britannia were all built here.
The town was almost totally destroyed in air raids during the 2nd world war and was re-built at the end of the war.
