Bridge of Allan
Scotland > Central Scotland > Stirlingshire > Bridge of Allan
In victorian days the town was developed as a spa resort. Today it is mostly residential in feel but is still used as a holiday and touring centre for the glens and hills of central Scotland.
The Wallace Monument Tower at 220 feet lies 2 miles to the south east and commemorates the long struggle of Sir William Wallace (of braveheart fame) to gain independence for Scotland in the 14th century. It is a landmark visible for miles around.
