Between Moncreiffe Hill and the River Tay lies the village of Rhynd, 4 miles (6km) southeast from Perth. With an 1840's Tudor-Gothic parish church, 19th century cottages and a K3 telephone kiosk (The only one in Scotland). Travelling north towards Elcho along the Tay stands Elcho Castle - once a stronghold of the Wemyss family.
