A "suburb" of Fort William on the Mallaig Road at the foot of the Caledonian Canal. The Moorings Hotel has a good restaurant and bar opverlooking Neptune's Staircase, a series of 9 locks bringing boats down to sea level. Goos views of Ben Nevis on clear days. Good walks, also, up and underneath the Canal and also down to the canal basin and stone pier.
