

StrathkinnessScotland > Central Scotland > Fife > Strathkinness Located in Fife, 3 miles (5 km) west of St Andrews, Strathkinness is a small village created as a commuter village to / from St Andrews which is probably as old as the 12th century. An agriculture turned weaving village before stone quarries took over till the 20th century. Magus Muir, slightly south of the village, has a cairn placed their to mark the spot where the Archbishop of St Andrews was murdered in 1679. ![]() |
