Port of Ness

On the northeast coast of the Isle of Lewis lies Port Ness (Port Nis). The name reflects the village's Norse heritage and the inhabitants are each Autumn, the men travel to the island of Sula Sgeir to hunt young gannets. Around 90% of those raised here a fluent in Gaelic.
