YesScotland.com : A view of Tobermory Built as a "planned" fishing port in the18th century it is now the main town on Mull. With the brightly painted buildings in the main street to the pier and high wooded hills surrounding the bay it is a very scenic and pituresque spot. It has a good variety of shops, hotels, and other accommodation and is always busy with fishing boats and yachts. The ferry to and from Kilchoan opperates during the summer from here.
The wreck of a Spanish galleon is supposed to lie in the bay. Legend has it she was carrying millions of gold dubloons when she went to the bottom.

Tobermory is the setting for the BBC children's programme Balamory, which has captured the imaginations of countless kids from all over the UK.
