In the shadow of Tinto Hill in Lanarkshire, a few miles down the road from Biggar, lies the old railway town of Symington. Near the eastern slopes of Tinto Hill stands Fatlips Castle while at the summit, views as far away as the Northern Irish coast can be seen.
