Sumburgh Head and lighthouse Located on the southern tip of Shetland's Mainland. With Sumburgh Head, Shetland's first lighthouse, built by Robert Stevenson.

The RSPB's has a nature reserve at Sumburgh Head, with spectacular cliff views and some of the islands safest and varied bird watching habitats.

The famous prehistoric village at Jarlshof lies 1 mile south and the main Shetland airport half a mile to the north.
