Isle of Stronsay

Scotland > Orkney and Shetland > Orkney > Isle of Stronsay

The small island of Stronsay is made up of three large bays which seem to bite into the island. It is a low-lying island, with the highest point, Burgh Hill being only 154 feet high and is about seven miles long. The island has several lovely sandy beaches. On the east coast between Lamb Ness and Odiness the dramatic cliff coast includes the famous Vat of Kirbister, a opening spanned by a fine natural arch.

The island prides itself on its friendliness and tranquillity of its location.
