Located on the shores of Loch Ewe on a promontary opposite the offshore island of Ewe. Loch Ewe was on major importance during both World Wars of the 20th century.

yesscotland.com says: Beautiful part of the West Highland although it is difficult to isolate specific areas as being more beautiful than others in this area! The only trouble with areas such as this is that there attraction to visitors can be limited to specific markets. For instance there has never been much for visitors to spend their money on, except in some retail outlets specialising in very high quality goods and they tend to be few and far between.
Quality of food and service can be criticised but if you follow those establishments which have good accolades you can't go far wrong.
