Scourie

The village of Scourie lis located on the west coast of Sutherland, off the A838, 5 miles west of Laxford Bridge at the head of Scourie Bay.

The village is a centre for walkers and anglers, with trips to the nearby island of Handa and the nature reserve located there are available in the summer months.

Like many west coast areas, palm trees are able to grow here because of the warming effects of the Gulf Stream.
