Located in West Fife, Saline is an 18th century mining village which can be seen today in the many cottages that survived the mining age between the 19th and 20th centuries. Set with a backdrop of Saline Hill (1178ft) in the north east, Saline has an old primary school built in 1875, a church built in 1810 and a 9 hole golf course. Was frequently visited by Sir Walter Scott.
