St Boswells

Located 3 miles south east of Melrose, St Boswells was once known as Lessuden.

Nearby are the ruins of Dryburgh Abbey, dating from the 12th century. Which include a rose window and the burial sites of Sir Walter Scott and Field-Marshal Earl Haig. 2 miles to the west, the village of Bowden has a very early church dating from 1128.
