Rosyth

Scotland > Central Scotland > Fife > Rosyth

Famous for its dockyards, this small town on the north shore of the Firth of Forth has seen its fortunes change over the centuries.

Once the property of the Earls of Rosebery and then the Earls of Hopetoun, finally they were sold to the government in 1909. Until recently used by the Government as its naval dockyards, for a long time it maintained Briton's nuclear submarines.
