Riccarton

Scotland > South of Scotland > Roxburghshire > Riccarton

Lying close to the border in Liddesdale with Liddel Water to the north, the Larriston Fells (1,677 ft) to the south and Peel Fell (1,975 ft) to the East, the village of Riccarton is deep within the hills. On the slopes of Peel Fell, near to the border lies the Kielder Stone landmark. The road to Jedburgh can be found heading northeast from Riccarton while the road to the east through the Cheviots lies the North Tyne Valley in Northumberland.
