Lying to the east of the Isle of Skye, the island of Raasay is popular with walkers, offering both hill and woodland walks.

The picturesque harbour of Inverarish offers scenic views and the surrounding area is teaming with wildlife, including alpine hares and red deer. The island itself covers an area of 6405ha (15,827 acres) and the highest point rises to 443m (1453 feet).

The island is home to 'The Battery', which was the site of a 19th century cannon emplacement.
