Port Erroll

Scotland > East of Scotland > Aberdeenshire > Port Erroll

Founded by William Hay in the 19th century, Port Erroll lies in east Aberdeenshire southeast of Cruden Bay. The sandy beaches make this a popular holiday resort and the ruins of Slains Castle, dating from 1664, and the 200 foot deep amphitheatre at nearby Bullers of Buchan are impressive structures.
