

OrmistonScotland > Central Scotland > East Lothian > Ormiston Ormiston was built in 1735 as Scotland's first planned village. John Cockburn, one of the initiators of the Agricultural Revolution, modelled it on an English village and later sold it to the Earl of Hopetoun.
