Old Deer

Scotland > East of Scotland > Aberdeenshire > Old Deer

Old Deer lies to the south of the Forest of Deer, 10 miles West of Peterhead. The last celtic Earl of Buchan established the Cisterian Abbey of St. Mary here and although there is little left of the remains, the setting is charming.
