Oakley

Scotland > Central Scotland > Fife > Oakley

Oakley lies four miles West of Dunfermline and was originally known for Oakley Iron works. In the 1930s, the nearby Comrie coal mine brought new life to the settlement and later, the Church of the Most Holy Name was built in 1958 for miners who had come here for the coalfields. This church is well known for it's magnificent stained glass windows.
