Newburgh

Scotland > Central Scotland > Fife > Newburgh



Located on the south shore of the River Tay, despite its name, this is a small ancient royal burgh, which looks down to the Firth, divided by Mugdrum Island and South Deeps.
It was granted its charter by King Alexander III in 1266.
