YesScotland.com : The beech hedge at Meikleour Located 5 miles south of Blairgowrie, in Strathmore. It is famed for its tall beech hedge between Meikleour House and the main road. This hedge was planted in 1746 and stands 85 feet high. Meikleour House was built in 1870. The pretty village of Meikleour has an old market cross (1698) and retains much of its old world charm.
