Macduff

Scotland > East of Scotland > Banffshire > Macduff

The original village was called Doune before the Earl of Fife built the new village of MacDuff as a fishing township in 1783. With very safe and sheltered anchorage the village prospered with herring fishing and curing. It is popular with tourists and has golf nearby.
