Village in Fife with RAF station nearby. It has the Church of St. Athernase which dates back to the late 12th century. The Church is one of the finest examples of Norman architecture in Britain and stands on a grassy knoll overlooking the village. Nearby is Earlshall begun in 1546 by Sir William Bruce. In 1891 Sir Robert Lorimer, the celebrated Scottish architect renivated the house.
Leuchars is ideally located for short trips to St Andrews, Dunfermline, Culross, Perth, Edinburgh, Falkland Palace and all of the east Neuk of Fife.
