Lenzie

Lenzie lies to the south of Kirkintilloch and just north east of Bishopbriggs. It developed after the opening in 1842 of a railway station. A mental hospital and Lenzie Academy opened in the late 19th cent. Today the village has gradually expanded in to a dormitory town serving Glasgow.
