Lamington

Scotland > Central Scotland > Lanarkshire > Lamington

This small village situated on the left bank of the River Clyde, looking out towards the Tinto hills, will be for ever connected with the memory of William Wallace.
Just north of the village stood Lamington Tower, known as "Wallace's Tower". So called as it was said his wife was the heiress to the tower. It was pulled down in 1780.
