Located at the head of Loch Tay, with towering Ben Lawers (1214m) behind. It stretches out from the Falls of Dochart down towards the Loch. A stone bridge carries the main road into Killin and crosses the Falls. Near the Falls standing stones of St Fillan date from the 8th centuary . The MacNab's ancient burial ground is on the island of Inchbuie in the River Dochart. A standing stone circle is located here. Nearby are the ruins of Finlarig Castle. Flax was grown locally and woven into linen by hand weavers in the area.
