Just to the east of Leuchars, Earlshall is famouse for its castle. The castle is next to the runway at RAF Leuchars. The castle was built by Sir William Bruce of Earlshall in 1546. The castle was ruined however thanks to Sir Robert Lorimer and W.R.M Mackenzie, and a fair sized budget the castle has been restored.
