The development of activity and leisure products is a fast growing industry in Scotland. Hunting, shooting and fishing used to be the mainstay of outdoor activities in Scotland but not any more. Deer stalking and shooting is still plentiful but hunting with hounds is now outlawed. You can also ask your accommodation providers for information on activities – many receive special rates for their guests and quite often they can advise on the best providers in the area – they will also help with packed lunches and perhaps late dinners or early breakfasts for you.
Finally, it is often important for operators to know in advance or your past experience in any particular activity – do tell the truth!
