Having now been open for 4 years, The Falkirk Wheel still attracts more and more visitor’s everyday.

Some 3,000 private boats have used the worlds first and so far only rotating boat lift.






You can visit the centre for few about £8 per adult; you can take a boat ride and actually travel in the wheel. The Falkirk Wheel is blessed with having some of the nicest staff I have ever come across. Whilst on the boat ride they will answer your questions, and tell you everything you could ever want to know about the wheel in a very friendly and amusing way.

The Falkirk Wheel is an engineering marvel and is most defiantly worth a visit.

When you are in the area as the wheel will not take all day, you can nip into Stirling and go round the city or up to the castle. You can even head out to the Wallace Monument or along the Mill Trail.
